Today’s cutie is Xavier who was 8 months old we we took his sitter photos for him. Mum and dad came to our home studio in Copthorne, West Sussex to get some lovely baby portraits of Xavier. Xavier is able to sit up confidently on his own (in fact he is slowly on the move). We did a few change of outfits and backgrounds to get a variety of looks for his baby photo gallery.

Around 7 to 8 months old is one of our absolute favourite times for great baby photography! This is because when baby can sit up unaided, we can capture a fantastic range of expressions. We can also include a range of different poses including baby laying his or her back, front, sitting up, and everything in between. Having piled on a few scrummy pounds, a sitting baby photo session creates makes the most gorgeous photos of babies who are older than newborn but not yet able to walk. They are full of life, love and laughs for parents as we photograph baby discovering a whole new world every day.

We got newborn photographs done with Rob and Karen, they were really accommodating to fit us in at short notice prior to 2 weeks since birth, as they mentioned the sooner the better for these sort of photos. We came into their home studio and were immediately at ease. They explained the process taking on board some of things we wanted and got to work! Our little one didn't want to sleep initially (although we also loved the awake photos they got), but as a team they worked with her, keeping her calm, then got her to sleep and that's when they stepped up the speed! Between them, they worked well for clothes changes/setting changes keeping baby asleep and it was truly a pleasure to watch professionals at their craft. Cut to receiving to the photos which was around about 2 weeks fully edited, we are delighted with the results! Of course cost may be a consideration for some for such photos but we considered it fair for the quality received. Delighted with the outcome and we would recommend it for newborn photos! We are also aware they do other photos for babies/children and would not hesitate to use them in the future!

It's a family run business and the couple who do the baby photo shoots are absolutely lovely. We used them before as well for our first child and came back to them again for our second. I'd highly recommend Karen and Rob having attended for a newborn photoshoot which also featured a family shot with our two other toddlers. Karen and Rob were fantastic at engaging our older children whilst ensuring they got those all important shots which we will cherish as parents for years to come and our children once they are older.
