He enjoyed every moment, made a whole heap of mess, and enjoyed not only eating his cake but throwing it around! If you look closely, he’s even got some on his ears 🙂 Meet cheeky chappie, William.

Rob and I do love a cake smash session – they are usually such good fun. We aim to start the cake smash session with a simple portrait of your one-year-old in a nice outfit, clean and without cake all over it! We then make a change of outfit and background and take a few more images before introducing the cake. This is when the fun starts. Many of our one-year-olds take a look at their parents before they tuck in with their hands!

This is a great way to capture your one-year-old’s first birthday. It can be difficult to keep a tot of this age in the same area to get photographs to mark the occasion. However, having a cake smash session marks the date and you get some great facial expressions and portraits to treasure.

Booked a Christmas mini session for my daughter’s first Christmas. Very friendly husband and wife from start to finish and didn’t feel rushed as I had to give my 4 month old a bottle during the session. We got newborn photographs done with Rob and Karen, they were really accommodating to fit us in at short notice prior to 2 weeks since birth, as they mentioned the sooner the better for these sort of photos. We came into their home studio and were immediately at ease. They explained the process taking on board some of things we wanted and got to work! Our little one didn't want to sleep initially (although we also loved the awake photos they got), but as a team they worked with her, keeping her calm, then got her to sleep and that's when they stepped up the speed! Between them, they worked well for clothes changes/setting changes keeping baby asleep and it was truly a pleasure to watch professionals at their craft. Cut to receiving to the photos which was around about 2 weeks fully edited, we are delighted with the results! Of course cost may be a consideration for some for such photos but we considered it fair for the quality received. Delighted with the outcome and we would recommend it for newborn photos! We are also aware they do other photos for babies/children and would not hesitate to use them in the future!

It's a family run business and the couple who do the baby photo shoots are absolutely lovely. We used them before as well for our first child and came back to them again for our second. They make you feel comfortable and you know your child is in good hands while they get them ready for different poses. They are very professional, friendly and flexible. I'd highly recommend Karen and Rob having attended for a newborn photoshoot which also featured a family shot with our two other toddlers. Karen and Rob were fantastic at engaging our older children whilst ensuring they got those all important shots which we will cherish as parents for years to come and our children once they are older.
