Christmas newborns information

Just a quick heads-up today regarding our 2019 Christmas holiday and how this will affect any expectant parents with due dates at or around Christmas, who have yet to book their newborn photography with us…

Can I still book a Christmas newborn session?

For now, yes. We currently still have some spaces for newborns that are due to be born at or around Christmas 2019 – but during our official Christmas holiday period we will only be conducting newborn sessions for parents who have pre-booked before the holiday, which is scheduled for December 24th to January 2nd.

Who is this information for?

This information is for any parents with a due date in December 2019 or January 2020 who are planning to book a newborn portraits session with us but have not already done so. Remember, babies are born early or late all the time, and to get the best newborn portraits for you, the ideal time for your newborn portrait shoot is just 5-7 days after baby is born – or under 2 weeks, maximum…

What if my baby is born early or late?

For pre-booked sessions, we will (as always) remain as flexible as possible – even during our Christmas break – so if your baby is born early or late, we’ll work with you to ensure your newborn portraits still take place within the “golden window” of opportunity under two weeks.

Please note: our Christmas availability will be strictly limited, so will only be available for pre-booked newborn portraits.

I’m already booked in. Will this affect me?

If you’re already booked in with us: great! We already have you in our diary, and we’ll make sure to allocate the right time for your newborn photos. So you can relax, put your feet up and look forward to Christmas and your new baby’s portrait session with us. 🙂

We got newborn photographs done with Rob and Karen, they were really accommodating to fit us in at short notice prior to 2 weeks since birth, as they mentioned the sooner the better for these sort of photos. We came into their home studio and were immediately at ease. They explained the process taking on board some of things we wanted and got to work! Our little one didn't want to sleep initially (although we also loved the awake photos they got), but as a team they worked with her, keeping her calm, then got her to sleep and that's when they stepped up the speed! Between them, they worked well for clothes changes/setting changes keeping baby asleep and it was truly a pleasure to watch professionals at their craft. Cut to receiving to the photos which was around about 2 weeks fully edited, we are delighted with the results! Of course cost may be a consideration for some for such photos but we considered it fair for the quality received. Delighted with the outcome and we would recommend it for newborn photos! We are also aware they do other photos for babies/children and would not hesitate to use them in the future!

It's a family run business and the couple who do the baby photo shoots are absolutely lovely. We used them before as well for our first child and came back to them again for our second. They make you feel comfortable and you know your child is in good hands while they get them ready for different poses. They are very professional, friendly and flexible. I'd highly recommend Karen and Rob having attended for a newborn photoshoot which also featured a family shot with our two other toddlers. Karen and Rob were fantastic at engaging our older children whilst ensuring they got those all important shots which we will cherish as parents for years to come and our children once they are older. I was particularly impressed by how many different shots we managed to get in what seemed like a very short frame of time - they truly are very skilled at what they do and as a customer you could not ask for more when wanting to capture that shortlived, fleeting newborn period.Our family and friends have loved the pictures we have shared and the passion Rob and Karen have for their craft really does come across in the pictures they capture so beautifully, thank you!

What can I say - absolutely amazing from start to finish - Rob and Karen made us feel so welcome and comfortable from the moment we stepped in - they are so professional and we literally listened to every word they said and how to stand - pose and what would look great in the photos - my partner went out of her comfort zone trusting what they said would look nice and she is so happy she did the pictures turned out much better than we could imagine - this was our maternity photoshoot and we have booked the newborn shoot also for when our little one is here and cannot wait to go back - 5 starts isn’t enough for Babyshoots

We booked the Baby Plan (3 shoots) and chose the maternity, new born and sitter sessions. Neither of us likes having our photos taken but we wanted to make sure we captured this time of our and our baby's life in a unique but personal way and they delivered! I am a shy person so was nervous about having maternity photos taken, however I am so glad that I booked with Baby Shoots photography and now we have amazing photos to treasure forever. We visited Baby Shoots in April 2021 with our 10 day old son for a New Born shoot and were very pleased with the entire Experience.Rob and Karen were very welcoming and made the whole experience really enjoyable.Our baby was handled expertly and gently and kept warm and happy whilst being dressed in different cute outfits.There are so many props and options and we were extremely happy with the pictures we received.Our only problem is we can’t decide which ones to put up as they’re all fantastic. A pretty good problem to have!We’ll definitely be back and can’t recommend this company enough.
