Here are just a couple of images from a recent newborn photography mini session. Caroline, from just around the corner in Norwood Hill in Horley, was looking for an anniversary gift for her hubby. What better than some photos of their beautiful new baby daughter, Isabella.

Now, Isabella wasn’t quite in the ideal age range of 6-14 days for her photo-shoot. In fact on the day of the session, she was already 22 days. This can lead to a very tricky newborn shoot! However, as you can see we still managed to get some beautiful portraits of her sleeping peacefully. This was despite a mini session being a relatively short shooting time for an older newborn.

Our shorter newborn photography mini sessions include a portrait session of up to one hour. It includes a selection of 5 full-size digital image files all included as standard. These photoshoots can be for either maternity, newborn or older babies, and are ideal if you only need a small selection of images. This is also ideal if you want to stick to a fixed budget. We got newborn photographs done with Rob and Karen, they were really accommodating to fit us in at short notice prior to 2 weeks since birth, as they mentioned the sooner the better for these sort of photos. We came into their home studio and were immediately at ease. They explained the process taking on board some of things we wanted and got to work! Our little one didn't want to sleep initially (although we also loved the awake photos they got), but as a team they worked with her, keeping her calm, then got her to sleep and that's when they stepped up the speed! Between them, they worked well for clothes changes/setting changes keeping baby asleep and it was truly a pleasure to watch professionals at their craft. Cut to receiving to the photos which was around about 2 weeks fully edited, we are delighted with the results! Of course cost may be a consideration for some for such photos but we considered it fair for the quality received. Delighted with the outcome and we would recommend it for newborn photos! We are also aware they do other photos for babies/children and would not hesitate to use them in the future!

It's a family run business and the couple who do the baby photo shoots are absolutely lovely. We used them before as well for our first child and came back to them again for our second. They make you feel comfortable and you know your child is in good hands while they get them ready for different poses. They are very professional, friendly and flexible. I'd highly recommend Karen and Rob having attended for a newborn photoshoot which also featured a family shot with our two other toddlers. Karen and Rob were fantastic at engaging our older children whilst ensuring they got those all important shots which we will cherish as parents for years to come and our children once they are older.
