One Year Old Cake Smash

This young man, who was going to be one the very next day, is Cohen (nicknamed Cohen the Destroyer… I’ll explain why shortly).

Rob and I first met Nicola and Paul when they brought Cohen in for a newborn shoot at just 8 days old.  Now about to turn one, Nicola and Paul wanted some photographs of him on his special first birthday.  To celebrate, Nicola made him a beautiful cake just so he could destroy it… and that is exactly what he did, hence his nickname on the day.

He proceeded to remove the turtle’s head and without examination threw it across the paper – that was very funny and he was delighted with himself, however, didn’t realise the lovely cake was actually edible until half way through so that was when the mess began.

Nicola told us they don’t generally give Cohen lots of sweet things, and that gran was always saying it wouldn’t hurt.  Well – he certainly had his fill today 🙂

It was lovely to see the guys again and they will certainly have their hands full now Cohen is nearly walking unaided!
