This gorgeous little fellow is called Alexander. We almost met Alexander before he even arrived on the scene. How was this? Well, unusually, Mum Emma visited the studio for a maternity portraits session with only a week to go before Alexander was due! Often this would be too late and too uncomfortable for a heavily pregant mum-tobe. However, Emma looked radiant throughout her maternity session. You can see a few of Emma’s beautiful maternity portraits in an earlier blog we posted recently.

Emma had such a tidy bump. So we weren’t too surprised when little Alexander turned out to be such a cutesy little bundle as expected! We got some lovely newborn portraits of Alexander and even caught a windy smile during the session.

If you’d also like to include a maternity portraits photoshoot, this is no problem. We even include a discount for certain packages for customers who are looking to book both baby bump photos and a newborn session afterwards. We usually recommend booking a maternity shoot for around 7-8 months if possible. For the best newborn photography, we recommend booking your shoot for about 5-7 days after your due date. If baby arrives early or late we can adjust the exact shoot date if needed.
