Let’s tell you a little bit about us…

Baby Shoots Photography is a luxury portrait studio run by Karen and Rob. Our family-run home studio is located in the sleepy village of Copthorne, nestled between Crawley and East Grinstead, in West Sussex.

We’re simple folk… Karen loves to dance (Salsa mostly) and enjoys the garden and long walks in the countryside.

Rob enjoys playing guitar, movie night with a good hot curry – well, any kind of spicy food really and all kinds of music… (but mostly rock)!

We both love getting out & about, sharing a meal or a drink with friends & family, or ‘living it up ‘, desperately trying to hang on to our youth at a music gig or festival when we’re able to. 🙂

Rob began his photographic journey way back in his early teens, so has literally had decades of experience! He’s been a full-time professional photographer since 2005.

Things have changed a lot since the early days of developing his own darkroom prints at home back in the early 80s… but great photography is still great photography, even now in the digital age!

Karen is our resident baby whisperer. While photographing babies in the studio, she uses her ‘magic touch’ to keep babies calm, happy, and beautifully posed. This frees up Rob to take care of the props, sets, and camera work.

Karen is also a fantastic photographer in her own right, with over 15 years of experience in shooting weddings and other events.

Magical maternity shoot!I recently had the pleasure of doing a maternity photoshoot with my family, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience! From start to finish, the entire process was seamless and enjoyable. Karen and Rob were incredibly professional, warm and welcoming, immediately putting us all at ease.They suggested beautiful poses that highlighted my wife’s pregnancy glow while also capturing the love and excitement of our family. They also knew exactly how to keep the kids engaged, making it fun for everyone involved!The final images exceeded all of our expectations. I have been meaning to write this review for a while, but I never had a spare moment! I found Baby Shoots Photography online after a thorough search for baby photographers. This business stood out to me purely because of their reviews as well as having the most professional and gorgeous photos on their instagram account (which you should totally follow!). I was a little anxious at first as I had a previous photographer for all my baby/family photoshoots who we were so loyal too, but unfortunately for us, she undertook a new venture! However, the anxiety quickly disappeared when Karen and Rob took time to listen to what I wanted and reassured me that they would do their absolute best to meet my needs with such patience and kindness.Karen and Rob did such a wonderful job for us (back in February this year). Karen was so good at setting the scene with variety of warm colours whilst Rob took some beautiful, heart-warming photos. I truly had tears of joy with the outcome, and I am very much looking forward to working with them again, particularly when our bubba turns one! I hope to see them both again soon.

We got newborn photographs done with Rob and Karen, they were really accommodating to fit us in at short notice prior to 2 weeks since birth, as they mentioned the sooner the better for these sort of photos. We came into their home studio and were immediately at ease. They explained the process taking on board some of things we wanted and got to work! Our little one didn't want to sleep initially (although we also loved the awake photos they got), but as a team they worked with her, keeping her calm, then got her to sleep and that's when they stepped up the speed! Between them, they worked well for clothes changes/setting changes keeping baby asleep and it was truly a pleasure to watch professionals at their craft. Cut to receiving to the photos which was around about 2 weeks fully edited, we are delighted with the results! Of course cost may be a consideration for some for such photos but we considered it fair for the quality received. Delighted with the outcome and we would recommend it for newborn photos! We are also aware they do other photos for babies/children and would not hesitate to use them in the future!

It's a family run business and the couple who do the baby photo shoots are absolutely lovely. We used them before as well for our first child and came back to them again for our second. They make you feel comfortable and you know your child is in good hands while they get them ready for different poses. They are very professional, friendly and flexible. I'd highly recommend Karen and Rob having attended for a newborn photoshoot which also featured a family shot with our two other toddlers. Karen and Rob were fantastic at engaging our older children whilst ensuring they got those all important shots which we will cherish as parents for years to come and our children once they are older.
