Most parents book during pregnancy, scheduling their session for around 7–10 days after birth. Dates can be adjusted if needed, but to maintain the highest quality, we only accept a maximum of 10 newborn sessions each month.

The Booking Process

Book your session online
Book your session using our online calendar to select a date around 7-10 days after your due date. Your session date can be changed online later if your baby arrives earlier or later than expected. Once booked, we’ll send you all the information you need to get the best newborn portraits during your session.

Enjoy a calm, guided session
You are going to love this experience! With Karen and Rob working together, we’ll gently move through a series of beautiful poses while you sit back and watch every moment. Every session is tailored around your baby’s comfort, creating a variety of images while keeping your little one safe, comfortable and happy throughout.

Professional editing & retouching
We’ll select the very best imagesfrom each pose and carefully edit and retouch them to perfection. Once everything is ready, we’ll create a beautiful slideshow and invite you back to see your gallery on the big screen. Don’t forget the tissues — there may be happy tears!

View & choose your images
Select your favourite new portraits during a free viewing session. If you prefer, you can upgrade to the full “all files + slideshow” collection without needing to return to the studio. Digital and printed products are also available — always offered with zero pressure.
What to expect during your newborn session
A newborn session is calm, gentle and completely baby‑led. From the moment you arrive, we follow your baby’s rhythm and keep everything safe and relaxed. Everything you need is included — wraps, outfits, props and accessories — and we’ll look after every detail while creating a beautiful variety of images for you.
Arrival & settling
When you arrive, we’ll take a few minutes for baby to settle or feed if needed. If your baby is already asleep, we’ll begin straight away. We’ll prepare everything in advance and make sure the studio is warm & cosy – so you can simply relax and let us do all the hard work for you!
Creating a variety of images
We’ll work through a variety of poses, from simple wraps, props (beds/bowls/baskets), outfit changes and parent/family portraits, depending on your session. You’ll be able to watch every moment as this all takes place right in front of you.
A safe, two‑person workflow
Karen stays hands‑on with your baby throughout, while Rob manages the setups, lighting and camera work. This keeps the whole session efficient, calm, smooth, and above all – safe, for your baby.
Baby‑led at every step
We’ll follow your baby’s cues, skip anything they don’t enjoy, and take breaks if needed. We’ll also show you a few previews on the back of the camera so you can see how things are going. You’re going to love it!
