Taking your newborn out for their first professional portrait should be a joyful milestone, not a logistical headache. So… we’ve designed our boutique studio experience to be a calm, temperature-controlled retreat for families across Oxted and the RH8 district.

Located just a short, 20-minute drive from Oxted High Street via the A22, our Copthorne studio offers a quiet sanctuary away from the hustle of the town centre. We know that leaving the house with a brand-new baby can feel like a feat of endurance, which is why we provide free parking directly outside our door. You can step straight from your car into our luxury studio, ensuring your baby stays settled and cozy from the moment you arrive.

Meet Karen & Rob: Your Specialist Two-Person Team

We believe the best portraits come from a place of genuine connection and calm. We are a couple with over 15 years of experience, and we bring a balanced, ‘teamwork-first’ approach to every session.

In our free time, Karen loves to dance, while Rob is currently dedicated to ‘mastering’ the guitar. We’re both happiest when we’re unwinding at a music festival or exploring new corners of the world when we can. That ‘real-world’ energy keeps us grounded; we’re naturally very relaxed and, most importantly, incredibly patient!

Whether you’re joining us from Old Oxted, Hurst Green, or Tandridge, we apply that same patience to your baby-led session. We never rush a pose, we always prioritise safety, and we ensure that your visit to our studio is as memorable as the portraits we create for your home.

Booking your session couldn’t be easier. We suggest reserving a provisional date after you’ve had your 20-week scan so we can ensure space for you during those precious first two weeks after birth. Once you’re in our diary, you’ll receive our preparation guide covering everything you need to get the very best newborn photoshoot for you.

No need to worry if your baby arrives early or late – amending your date can be done easily online.

Leave the bustle behind and relax in our peaceful, temperature-controlled home-studio. Your session is a rare moment to truly unwind while we take care of every detail right in front of your eyes.

Using a gentle, baby-led approach, our two-person team will guide your newborn through a series of safe, artistic, and beautifully refined poses.

After your session, we’ll devote extensive time to hand-retouching every image to a professional, fine-art standard. Once your gallery is ready, we’ll invite you to a private gallery reveal – a special moment to relax and choose the portraits you love most.

For families who prefer a completely remote experience, we offer the option to upgrade to the complete digital collection from the comfort of your own home, without even needing to return to the studio.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

The best newborn portraits take place at just 7 to 10 days old – or no later than 2 weeks old if possible. We strongly recommend booking early (while pregnant) if at all possible.

For the best results, we recommend booking after your 20-week scan. The ideal window for those sleepy, curled-up portraits is between 7 and 14 days old, though we can capture beautiful “older newborn” images up to 6 weeks.

If we need to change your exact shoot date later, that’s no problem (see below).

We’re very close… our studio in Copthorne is just a short, 20-minute drive from Oxted High Street via the A22. We know that navigating the narrow streets of Oxted or finding a parking space near the station with a newborn could be a real headache. To make your first outing as seamless as possible, we offer free parking directly outside our front door. So, no pay-and-display machines or long walks with a pram; you can step straight from your car into our calm, temperature-controlled home-studio.

All our sessions are held at our dedicated, specialist newborn studio in Copthorne. This is a private, unhurried space designed entirely for the comfort of new babies and their parents. It serves as a peaceful retreat for families from Oxted, Limpsfield, and Hurst Green who want to avoid the congestion of town centres.

By choosing our studio, you benefit from a controlled, luxury environment where every detail—from the lighting to the perfect ‘sleepy’ temperature—is tailored to your baby’s needs, ensuring a stress-free experience from start to finish.

Our studio is a private, dedicated space specifically tailored for the comfort of babies and parents. We provide a warm, relaxing environment offering a completely stress-free experience for families travelling from Lingfield, Dormansland & Blindley Heath

Our newborn photoshoots generally take place on Monday to Thursday mornings. Limited weekends are available, subject to availability, and a small weekend premium (please contact us directly).

If your baby is already born, we recommend using our online scheduler to book in a date for as soon as possible. If your baby is already 2 weeks or older, we can still create a set of beautiful baby pictures for you… But your session may include simpler poses and more dressed or wrapped images.

Yes, of course! Digital images are included in all our newborn photo shoot packages – and all newborn sessions also include the option to add additional digital (or printed) images if you want to. In fact, after enjoying their newborn photoshoot, we find that most people want to upgrade to all the images we’ve created for them! 🙂

You can add extra digital images, either individually or as a complete set of all files (this also includes a beautiful, ultra-high-resolution animated slideshow set to music). Customers who pre-purchase all files can do so without returning to the studio for a viewing and ordering session, if they choose.

All images are meticulously edited and retouched to perfection, before we show them to you… So there will be a short wait while we prepare your images after your portrait session – but not too long! Images are usually ready within 2 weeks (often less).
