Booking your session couldn’t be easier. We suggest reserving a provisional date around your 20‑week scan so we can welcome you during that precious first two weeks after birth.

Once you’re in our diary, you’ll receive our bespoke preparation guide—covering everything from what to wear to how we create the ideal, comforting environment for your baby. If you need to amend your appointment date, this can be done online.

Enjoy a Calm, Luxurious Studio Experience

Step away from the hustle and bustle, and relax in our calm, friendly and temperature‑controlled studio. Your session is a moment to unwind while we take care of everything.

Working with a gentle, baby‑led approach, we guide your newborn through a series of safe, artistic, and beautifully refined poses. You’ll leave feeling refreshed, having watched a collection of timeless memories come to life.

The Art of the PERFECT Edit

After your session, we devote extensive time to hand‑retouching each image to a fine‑art, professional standard. Once done, you’ll be invited back to the studio for a private gallery reveal—a special moment to choose the portraits you love most.

If you prefer a fully remote experience, you can upgrade to receive the complete collection from home, without needing to return to the studio.

YOUR QUESTIONS ANSWERED

The best newborn portraits take place at just 7 to 10 days old – or no later than 2 weeks old if possible. We strongly recommend booking early (while pregnant) if at all possible.

For the best results, we recommend booking after your 20-week scan. The ideal window for those sleepy, curled-up portraits is between 7 and 14 days old, though we can capture beautiful “older newborn” images up to 6 weeks.

If we need to change your exact shoot date later, that’s no problem (see below).

We are incredibly close to Lingfield! Our studio in Copthorne is just a short, 10-minute drive from Lingfield High Street via the B2028 (Station Road). Unlike studios in larger town centres like East Grinstead or Oxted, we offer free parking directly outside our front door. This means no navigating busy car parks or walking long distances with a newborn baby and a pram; you can step straight from your car into our climate-controlled sanctuary.

If your baby is already born, we recommend using our online scheduler to book in a date for as soon as possible. If your baby is already 2 weeks or older, we can still create a set of beautiful baby pictures for you… But your session may include simpler poses and more dressed or wrapped images.

All newborn portraits take place in our specialist Newborn Photography Studio in Copthorne, West Sussex. We’re literally a 2-minute walk from the Duke’s Head pubin Copthorne.

Our studio is a private, dedicated space specifically tailored for the comfort of babies and parents. We provide a warm, relaxing environment offering a completely stress-free experience for families travelling from Lingfield, Dormansland & Blindley Heath

Our newborn photoshoots generally take place on Monday to Thursday mornings. Limited weekends are available, subject to availability, and a small weekend premium (please contact us directly).

Yes, of course! Digital images are included in all our newborn photo shoot packages – and all newborn sessions also include the option to add additional digital (or printed) images if you want to. In fact, after enjoying their newborn photoshoot, we find that most people want to upgrade to all the images we’ve created for them! 🙂

You can add extra digital images, either individually or as a complete set of all files (this also includes a beautiful, ultra-high-resolution animated slideshow set to music). Customers who pre-purchase all files can do so without returning to the studio for a viewing and ordering session, if they choose.

All images are meticulously edited and retouched to perfection, before we show them to you… So there will be a short wait while we prepare your images after your portrait session – but not too long! Images are usually ready within 2 weeks (often less).
